what is "Desk for a Day"?
We have partnered with local, independent business owners to provide entrepreneurs with beautiful and unique desk locations throughout the state. Each "Desk for a Day" location is available to rent and includes thoughtful amenities from the host business.
This program helps further our mission of building entrepreneurial ecosystems while supporting local business owners and providing really cool and convenient locations for entrepreneurs to work from.
As the desk renter, you have access to a dedicated, productive, well-appointed workstation inside of one of our partner businesses. All of our partners are chosen based on their spectacular locations and amenities, but more than anything we partner with business owners who see the value in working with people like you!
You'll meet wonderful people, work in incredible locations, and have a fun productive day.

Essence On Main
$45/day (includes lunch and coffees)
Essence on Main is a mercantile shop located in the heart of historic and charming downtown Clarkston. Outside your window, you'll enjoy a great view of Main Street's activity, while inside you'll enjoy a peaceful and productive day surrounded by a beautifully appointed shop and helped by the wonderful Essence team.
Your "Desk for a Day" includes dedicated access to your workstation during the store open hours, a gourmet sandwich or salad custom-crafted for you, a famous Essence cookie, bottled water, and unlimited drip coffee (insider tip: try the French Vanilla Coconut!).
If you need a break, stretch your legs and browse through the wonderful selection of local and gourmet food and gifts, or head a little further down the street and enjoy a few moments by the Mill Pond or down in Depot Park by the river.
This location is perfect for those who are looking for a quiet, peaceful work environment, don't need to be on the phone all day, enjoy plenty of natural light, and love gourmet coffee!
